Terms
Terms of Use
Effective 12 October 2026
These terms apply when you use the Aqeem apps or this website. By using them you agree to these terms. “Aqeem”, “we” and “us” mean the makers of Aqeem.
Prayer times are estimates
Aqeem calculates prayer times from your location and the method and settings you choose. Calculated times can differ from your local mosque's timetable by a few minutes, or more at high latitudes. The Hijri date follows the Umm al-Qura calendar and can differ from local moon sighting. Please confirm prayer times with your local mosque or scholar, and adjust Aqeem's settings to match.
The adhan and your TV
Aqeem plays the adhan when your device lets it. A TV that's switched off, unplugged, in deep standby or showing another input may not play it, and an app update or a device restart can clear its scheduled alarms until Aqeem is opened again. Please don't rely on Aqeem as your only reminder.
Religious content
Qur'an text is shown verbatim from the Tanzil project, with the Saheeh International translation, and only verses we have reviewed are included. If you believe something is shown incorrectly, please tell us at support@aqeem.app and we'll correct it.
Using Aqeem
- Aqeem is for personal, non-commercial use in your home.
- Don't copy, resell or redistribute the apps, or reverse-engineer them except where the law allows.
- The artwork, design, name and logo of Aqeem belong to us. Third-party content keeps its own licence (see credits).
Provided as is
Aqeem is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't guarantee it will be error-free or always available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from using it, including a missed or mistimed prayer reminder.
Changes
We may update these terms. The new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
